G8 Samuel Hsu Met with President Lai, Ching-Te for his Outstanding Art Work🌟

HIA G8 student Samuel Hsu is passionate about painting and art. In 2023, Samuel was recognized for his work "War Cat Napoleon," which is considered an important creation in the "Embodiment of Cats" series. In 2024, Samuel released a new art piece titled "Light," which once again attracted widespread attention. This painting deeply moved President Lai Ching-te, leading to a special meeting with the President.

During the meeting, Samuel explained to President Lai that the inspiration for "Light" came from a stray dog that showed hope and a future after being adopted. He described the glowing light bulb held in the artwork as symbolizing the ability to illuminate everyone and warm everyone's hearts. Samuel learned that President Lai loves animals and had adopted a stray dog named Ban Ban. Thus, he chose this as the theme for his creation, hoping that under the President's leadership, everyone can shine like light bulbs, full of hope and warmth.

Last year, Samuel auctioned his personal artwork for charity and donated part of the proceeds to ARTY Taiwan Animal Emergency Rescue Association to support animal rescue work. This action not only showcased Samuel's talent but also helped animals in need of care and protection.

Samuel's achievement in arts not only highlights his talents but also his compassion and care for the community. 🎨👏

HIA學生G8 Samuel Hsu熱衷於繪畫與藝術創作，是各項美術比賽的常勝軍。Samuel在2023年以作品《戰貓拿破倫》備受關注，該作品被視為「貓的化身」系列中的一個重要創作。2024年，Samuel推出新作《光》，再一次引起廣泛關注。這件作品令賴清德總統深受感動，並獲賴總統特別接見，親自向Samuel 了解其創作理念。

在會見中，Samuel表示，創作《光》的靈感來自於一隻流浪犬被收養後，牠所展現出的希望和未來。他描述作品中的手握發光燈泡象徵著可以照亮每一個人，溫暖每一個人的心。Samuel得知總統喜愛動物並收養了一隻名為斑斑的流浪犬，遂以此為創作主題，希望在總統的領導下，人民也能如同燈泡般發光發熱，充滿希望和溫暖。

去年Samuel透過個人藝術作品進行公益拍賣，並將部份所得捐贈ARTY台灣動物緊急救援協會以支持動物救援工作，此舉不僅展示了Samuel的才華，更幫助到那些需要關愛和保護的動物。
